The German police will conduct a targeted search for six-year-old German Arian, who has been missing for a week. According to the police, the time has come to look at the situation realistically and change the approach.

“After everything we have tried, we are left empty-handed,” police said. The soldiers therefore returned to the barracks and the number of officers was reduced. The police only search specifically, for example after a tip.

Rescuers have already tried everything to find the boy. Fireworks were set off and loud music was played. Balloons and candy were also hung on trees in the hope that they would attract him.

On Friday and Saturday night, soldiers started a silent search. Because Arian has autism, care providers were afraid that he was put off by all the commotion.

The biggest action started on Sunday. A 1.5 kilometer wide human chain was formed with eight hundred people to comb the search area again. Drones, boats and riders were also deployed. A total of 1,200 people were involved in the search.

Despite several attempts, the German boy has still not been found. Footprints have been discovered, but it is still unclear whether they are Arian’s.

Last Monday, Arian walked away from his parental home in Elm in the northern German state of Lower Saxony without shoes and a coat. Due to his autism, he may not respond when people call him.
