Ferrari has something to celebrate. It has been 70 years since it entered the United States car market. Anyone who has a birthday treats, although Ferrari’s treat of course only goes to the happy few. The gift is this Ferrari 12Cilindri: a car that does not exactly hide how many cylinder pots do their work in the long nose.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is the car that replaces the 812 Superfast – also a Ferrari with a V12 in the front. The overall shape of the car is quite similar to that of the 812 Superfast, but its concrete design is completely different. Much more than in the 812 Superfast, we see influences from Ferraris of yesteryear in the 12Cilindri. Just look at that front that in a way refers to the 365 GTB/4 (and GTS/4), also called the Daytona.”

What can the 6.5 liter twelve-cylinder engine do? In any case, whine until the tachometer shows 9,500 rpm. The V12 produces 830 hp and 678 Nm. So 128 hp per liter. Shifting is done with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In just 2.9 seconds, the 1,560 kilo thoroughbred reaches 100 km/h and if you pedal to 200 km/h, less than 8 seconds is enough. The Ferrari 12Cilindri must be able to reach a top speed of more than 340 km/h. The Ferrari 12Cilindri is therefore very strong and very fast, but not nearly as powerful or fast as the car with electric support or with supercharging could be. Just look at the power and performance of the plug-in hybrid SF90s. The 12Cilindri is much smaller than the SF90 hardcore sporty model. It’s a real GT. And one with a V12 that does everything ‘the old way’, for the twelve-cylinder enthusiast.
Ferrari uses screens in the 12Cilindri. We see a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.8-inch display for the co-driver’s case. More modernism: the Alcantara used is made up of 65 percent recycled polyester. A bit of CO2 compensation.
