‘He should be here’

Peter Bosz was emotional after winning the PSV championship. The champion trainer had tears in his eyes when Hendrie Krüzen, with whom he has worked for years, was mentioned. The latter worked with Bosz at various clubs, but decided not to join PSV last year.

“This is new for me, it’s great,” Bosz says afterwards with a smile ESPN. Reporter Jan Joost van Gangelen then wants to know what the champion trainer felt after the final whistle in Eindhoven.

“That’s nice, the release. A championship match is never a good match. And that shows. But you’re busy for a whole year. I spend more time with those boys than with my wife. It feels like your children and you are working together. You work hard for it, then it’s great if it works.”

“I hope the PSV supporters enjoyed our football. I think that is very important. This was our worst match of the season, and we scored four times. And that is PSV this year, I think,” the happy man emphasizes. Bosz.

Emotional

Marciano Vink asks Bosz who in the technical staff gives him the most resistance. “You know, that sounds very stupid. But the one I miss now is Hendrie (Krüzen, ed.).” The PSV coach becomes emotional and turns around with tears in his eyes, before continuing to answer the question.

“He should be here. Hendrie is my buddy, we have worked together for 23 years,” Bosz refers to the fact that he worked with his loyal assistant Krüzen at various clubs. “We have worked on this system together. And then he is at home, which is disappointing. The title is also his, I also texted him this morning.”

Not to PSV

When he started at PSV last year, Bosz asked if Krüzen wanted to come to Eindhoven with him. However, the confidant of the 60-year-old coach chose to stay at Heracles Almelo and informed Bosz of this in a confidential conversation. The duo previously worked together at Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Olympique Lyon.
