The report was received by police at about 4:10 p.m. Several emergency services, including police and ambulance services, went to the location of the body. The person was lying on a beach bed at the beach restaurant De Waterreus in Scheveningen.

After the arrival of the emergency services, attempts were made to resuscitate the person, but to no avail. “This is probably a natural death,” said the police spokesman. “We are not assuming a crime.”

According to the police, the death is probably related to the warm weather. In the hospital, a medical examiner will in any case still examine the body.
