Three men raided the home of footballer Justin Kluivert near Valencia late on Wednesday evening. The player’s girlfriend was alone at home and suffered minor injuries, according to several Spanish media. About 150,000 euros worth of money, jewelry and other items worth almost 200,000 euros were stolen.

Kluivert himself is with Valencia in Mallorca, where he should play tonight – it is not yet known whether he will travel home earlier today and cancel the game.
According to the website Plaza Deportiva the three men, all wearing hoods, waited for the footballer’s girlfriend after she had walked the dog late in the evening. On her return, they threatened her and forced her to open the door. She would have received a blow to force her to tell where money and jewelry were.
The house is located in a quiet residential area in Bétera, north of Valencia. It is already the third robbery of a footballer’s house in the same district. Last year, Samu Castillejo was the victim, even while he was playing a match. A few months later, Levante defender Skhodran Mustafi was ambushed at home while he was sleeping. The police suspect that it is the same gang that specializes in these types of thefts.
