Sander de Kramer is happy for . The journalist and presenter, often active in the football world, had some contact with the goalkeeper after the match between NEC and PSV (3-1). Cillessen saved a penalty from Luuk de Jong, resulting in NEC winning 3-1.

“He was good,” says De Kramer on De Oranjezondag, Hélène Hendriks’ weekly talk show. “We texted back and forth for a while. The special thing is: he has saved penalties abroad, for example against Messi. You never hear anyone about that. Here in the Eredivisie it really got into his head that he didn’t took penalties. Now we have succeeded.”

Cillessen cheered exuberantly and afterwards criticized ESPN presenter Milan van Dongen, who would have laughed at him. “I liked that he could take his revenge, because there was a lot of laughter at him. He was laughed at. It was also a crucial moment. If PSV had made it 3-2, I would have had to see it,” said The Kramer.
