Patrick Kluivert wonders why his name is not mentioned for a position at Ajax. The Amsterdam team is looking for a new trainer and sporting director, but Kluivert is not a candidate as far as we know.
Bee Rondo the former top striker says that he considers himself suitable for the coaching position at Ajax. “I think so. I think I can convey my experiences well with the boys on a personal level.”

“I am not here to demand a job,” Kluivert makes clear. “But it does hurt to see your club like this.” Kluivert thus hints that he wants to do something for the club. “Who knows. I haven’t spoken to anyone yet.” Tablemate Khalid Boulahrouz sees added value in Kluivert. “You can help Ajax, right? You carry the Ajax DNA with you from A to Z. Why is your name not mentioned?”
“Of course I can help Ajax. Why I’m not mentioned is a good question. I ask myself that too,” said Kluivert. Boulahrouz answers: “There are names mentioned that are not crazy, but other names about which I have my reservations. Why then is his name not mentioned?”
Ruud Gullit compares the situation with Clarence Seedorf’s attempt to start working at Ajax. “He had also applied for a job, written a letter, and there was no response. Abroad, doors open everywhere for such guys. Seedorf has won the Champions League four times! Shouldn’t he be able to get in anywhere? I do not understand. I have that with Kluivert too. I don’t know what it is about,” said Gullit.
Kluivert says that he does not miss recognition, but would appreciate it. “I know what I did, I don’t expect anything from anyone. It would be nice to get recognition for what you have done.” Kluivert has been clubless since leaving as coach at Adana Demirspor in December last year.
