Feyenoord was certainly not the only club that had its eye on . Ajax reportedly also liked the Algerian dribbler and Besiktas also hoped for his arrival. The Turks made an unsuccessful attempt on Tuesday evening to free Hadj-Moussa from Patro Eisden.

At least that is what Sacha Tavolieri reported on Wednesday morning. According to the journalist, who works in Belgium, Besiktas hoped to convince Patro Eisden at the last minute with a million-dollar offer. The sixteen-time champions of Turkey reportedly had a transfer fee of 4.1 million euros including a five percent sell-on percentage left for the arrival of Hadj Moussa. Foot Mercato announced a few days ago that Feyenoord had made an offer of 3.5 million euros. The Rotterdam team announced the arrival of the 22-year-old wing attacker earlier on Wednesday morning. Hadj Moussa joined Patro Eisden in the summer of 2023, which let him leave on loan to ‘sister club’ Vitesse eighteen games later. Although the Arnhem team is rapidly heading for relegation, Hadj Moussa has nevertheless left a good impression. The Algerian scored twice in ten games for Vitesse and provided the same number of assists. He has signed a contract with Feyenoord until mid-2029. According to Patro Eisden, Hadj-Moussa is leaving for a ‘record sum’ and he is the ‘second most expensive’ player at the second level in Belgium.

Feyenoord has made a multi-million bid to the Belgian Patro Eisden Anis Hadj Moussa.
