Feyenoord has rejected Liverpool’s first offer for Arne Slot, writes The Telegraph. The English top club is said to have offered a maximum amount of nine million euros for the successful trainer.

The offer of seven million euros with two million in bonuses is not nearly enough for the Rotterdammers. The club management of Feyenoord demands an amount of at least ten million euros for his trainer. Since Slot is the main candidate to succeed Jürgen Klopp, it is expected that the club from the English port city will ‘act big’ in the negotiations.

Slot himself is said to be ready for the switch to the Premier League. His agent Rafaela Pimenta has already been busy negotiating a contract at Anfield, so that the coach has an idea under what conditions he can work if Feyenoord and Liverpool are out.

If the deal is completed, Slot will work at one of the highest-paying football clubs in the Premier League. The Telegraph expects the Liverpool coach to earn a salary of around eight million euros per year. That salary will then increase with every prize that the coach wins.

The supporters of Feyenoord suddenly performed a stirring flute concert in De Kuip, just before the KNVB Cup they had just won would be awarded to their favorite club.
