Feyenoord starts against Go Ahead Eagles with four new faces in the starting line-up compared to last Sunday’s cup final against NEC (1-0). returns to Deventer under the bar of the Rotterdam team, while trainer Arne Slot – partly out of necessity – also makes starting places for , Anthoni Milambo and Luka Ivanusec.
It was an eventful week for Feyenoord, which started with the celebrations for winning the KNVB Cup. However, the attention soon turned completely to coach Slot, who seems to be well on his way to Liverpool. The 45-year-old successful coach must succeed the immensely popular Jürgen Klopp at Anfield, but will still be on the bench for the Rotterdam team for four more games, starting in Deventer.
Compared to the cup final against NEC (1-0), Slot does not have match winner Igor Paixão. He will be replaced in Deventer by the Croatian Luka Ivanusec. Goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther, on the other hand, is available, but returns to the reserve bench because first goalkeeper Justin Bijlow has fully recovered from his injury and is regaining his place under the crossbar. Milambo starts in midfield because Calvin Stengs is slightly injured, Trauner in turn gets his place back in the center of the defense. Lutsharel Geertruida therefore starts as right back, causing Bart Nieuwkoop to move back to the bench.

The line-up of the home team is also known. Eagles coach René Hake makes one change compared to the last time his team played, on April 14 against FC Utrecht (2-1 loss). Midfielder Philippe Rommens returns to the starting line-up as he has recovered from the ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since January. His return comes at the expense of Enric Llansana.
