Trainer Joseph Oosting will extend his contract with FC Twente. Once the final details have been completed, the 52-year-old Emmen resident will be stuck in Enschede until the summer of 2027.

Oosting’s old contract with FC Twente ran until mid-2025, with an option for an extra season. The successful trainer will now sign for De Grolsch Veste for two years.

“I am far from finished here and would really like to stay at FC Twente. We are working on something great. There will undoubtedly be bad times to come, but that is separate from everything,” Oosting told reporters. Tubantia.

“I am at a great club that is in full development and I work with a bunch of great people. I am truly proud that I am the coach of FC Twente and will remain so.”

In recent days there have been rumors about Oosting’s departure to Feyenoord, which is looking for a successor for trainer Arne Slot. Slot is expected to sign for Liverpool soon.

Twente players played Hand in Hand, Comrades

The FC Twente coach called Feyenoord a great club, but did not elaborate further on the stories. The players of FC Twente already made fun of the Feyenoord rumors and recently played the Feyenoord song Hand in hand comrades in the locker room.

Feyenoord’s alleged interest in Oosting does not come out of the blue, because the trainer is doing well in his first year at FC Twente. As number three in the Eredivisie, the 2010 national champion is on course to participate in the Champions League preliminary round.

Oosting is only working on his second job as head coach in professional football. He also made a good impression at RKC Waalwijk. He previously served as interim and assistant coach at Vitesse.
