Research on Horner

At the beginning of February it emerged that the Brit had been accused of inappropriate behavior by a female employee of Red Bull Racing, after which energy drink giant Red Bull started an independent investigation. This investigation was concluded in Horner’s favor, but that was not the end of the matter. Shortly after the conclusion of the investigation, an anonymous email was circulated in the Formula 1 paddock with alleged evidence, which of course added fuel to the fire.

In addition, the woman in question did not leave it at that. She filed a complaint with the FIA, the umbrella motor sports body that includes Formula 1. The employee’s appeal is being handled by the King’s Council in the United Kingdom. The woman mainly focuses on the point that she believes she has been treated unfairly by Horner. In her opinion, the investigation was not conducted thoroughly enough and she is prepared to fight it out in court. More clarity is expected by mid-May.

Newey is reportedly leaving Red Bull Racing

Newey is reportedly no longer interested in this soap opera and would therefore like to leave the team at the end of this year. Since then, rumors have been circulating about where one of the most sought-after names in the Formula 1 paddock could end up working, but Olav Mol expects that this will not be in Formula 1: “Should Newey decide to leave Red Bull : the contract he has is until 2025, plus a year-long non-competition clause,” he writes. X. “Then he would only be able to work for another team in 2027. Opting for retirement may be more obvious.”
