Bosschaart hopes for Feyenoord: “It would be a nice reward”

Pascal Bosschaart is under contract with Feyenoord and is currently on loan to FC Dordrecht. The assistant coach has never made it a secret that he wants to work at De Kuip again. With the departure of coach Arne Slot and various staff members to Liverpool FC, the club management must fill a number of vacancies.

“There is now a lot of space at Feyenoord,” says Bosschaart in conversation with the Leeuwarder Courant. The former footballer still has a contract for one season with the cup winner after this season. He hopes for the next step in his career. “It just depends on what the club wants. Maybe I will be included in the process, we will see. It would be a nice reward for my work.”

The 44-year-old Bosschaart is having an excellent season with FC Dordrecht together with head coach Michele Santoni. However, the Dordrecht team drew 3-3 against SC Cambuur, which means that direct promotion currently seems a bridge too far. There is still a chance to achieve promotion via the play-offs with various Feyenoord mercenaries.

The born Rotterdammer worked a lot with Henk de Jong during his time at SC Cambuur. The current trainer of the Frisians sees that Bosschaart has the qualities to work at Feyenoord. “Pascal is a unique, sweet man,” he said respectfully. “A good person, too. And not entirely unimportant in this profession: he knows a lot about football.”
