Jos Verstappen sees rumors: “We also have to look further”

Last week it was again about the future of Max Verstappen. The Dutchman was again linked with a possible transfer to the Mercedes team. Jos Verstappen doesn’t want to say too much about it, but he states that they are also looking at 2026.

The unrest within the Red Bull Racing team has already led to rumors about a possible switch from Max Verstappen to Mercedes. Toto Wolff has stated several times that he is open to the arrival of Verstappen. F1 Insider reported at the end of last week that a meeting between Mercedes top management and the Verstappen camp is planned after the Miami Grand Prix.

This new rumor caused quite a stir. It is not clear when this conversation will take place, but it does cause more unrest. Jos Verstappen was asked about the situation by RaceXpress at the Wallonia Rally: “I think everyone really wants Max, but I think Max is just fine at the moment. He has a fast car at his disposal, but yes, We also have to look further. We are also looking at 2026.
