In recent weeks there have been many rumors about the future of Max Verstappen. He was again linked with a switch to Mercedes, and there was now even a meeting on the program. According to Toto Wolff, this is not true at all.

It is no secret that there is unrest within the Red Bull team. Max Verstappen previously indicated that it is important that it remains intact, but this does not seem to be happening. Verstappen has previously been linked to Mercedes, and last week a striking story emerged in the German media. Around the Grand Prix of Miami, Max Verstappen, Jos Verstappen and Raymond Vermeulen would be in discussions with the top management of Mercedes.

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has also read these stories, but according to him they are completely wrong. The Austrian denies that a meeting is planned. He spoke out to Reuters at an event organized by sponsor WhatsApp in New York: “No, this is just one of the rumors. People make up meetings, and they make up things that drivers are going to do. These kinds of things have to take place behind closed doors, and everything that came out wasn’t really what was going on.”
