Johan Derksen thinks Peter Bosz is an excellent trainer, he says Today Inside. The former footballer believes that the Netherlands is being put on the map due to the achievements of Bosz and Arne Slot in the coaching field.

“I thought Bosz was a top trainer before he went to PSV,” Derksen begins. “With Bosz and Slot, we have two top coaches at European level who have both gotten the optimal return from their equipment, let them play attractive football and score points.”

Table guest Job Knoester wonders why he likes Bosz so much. “He also played with Ajax, not the strongest Ajax, in the European Cup against Manchester United (Europa League final 2017, ed.),” Derksen explains. “He may have lost that match, but he made Ajax play football the way Ajax should play football. Ajax was also very stupid not to catch him.”

René van der Gijp agrees with Derksen and thinks that PSV is lucky to have been eliminated from the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund. “I read everywhere that that is the only blemish on the season. But the supporters must be happy that they were eliminated, otherwise you will be bought empty. If you get to the semi-finals with this team like Ajax did, then you’re gone. Then you just lose eight or nine players. Now maybe you can keep a few,” he concludes.
