The Red Bull Racing team is once again performing strongly in Formula 1 this year. The Austrian team was defeated in Miami and Melbourne, but otherwise they won all other races. The departure of Adrian Newey is a big loss, and Günther Steiner also thinks that Red Bull’s dominance will come to an end.

Red Bull has ruled Formula 1 since 2022. Max Verstappen has broken many records in recent years, and he can become world champion for the fourth season in a row this year. Things have been turbulent behind the scenes at Red Bull for some time, and last week it was announced that Adrian Newey will be leaving the team. The British top designer played a major role in the successes, but Red Bull does not expect to immediately feel the consequences of his departure.

Former Haas team boss Günther Steiner thinks the dominance could come to an end. In conversation with the German branch of Sky Sports, Steiner explains his opinion: “All dominance comes to an end.” Steiner thinks that this domination will really come to an end in 2026 when the new rules come into effect, until then he expects a different picture: “Red Bull is in good shape. In the short term this will not make a big difference, because the concept it already says. The engineers get the best performance from the very good car, they don’t need Adrian for that. He is there to plan the future and not to oversee what they do on the track.”
