Toto Wolff has flirted frequently with Max Verstappen in recent months. There will be a spot available at Mercedes next year, and Wolff has never hidden the fact that he would like the arrival of Verstappen. He therefore does not agree with the statements of Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff.
Verstappen still has a long-term contract with Red Bull Racing, but due to internal unrest at the team, he was linked with a transfer. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff saw his opportunity and opened the door wide for Verstappen. Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff was completely fed up with those stories, and last weekend he stated in the German media that Verstappen remains ‘one thousand percent’ certain.
Toto Wolff had already finished with Mintzlaff’s statements, who also stated that the Mercedes team boss should show a little more respect. Wolff was not very happy with Mintzlaff’s words, and the Red Bull CEO’s statement about Verstappen’s future also did not go down well with Wolff. Wolff spoke about this to the international media: “One thousand percent, I would not make such a statement myself, because in life there is only one hundred percent certainty. There is simply no more than one hundred percent, that is really unnecessary.”
