Max Verstappen is still the strongest driver in Formula 1. The Dutchman has a significant lead in the world championship, and according to his critics he makes the sport boring. Stefano Domenicali thinks this is nonsense, and he states that one should have a lot of respect for Verstappen.

Verstappen has been supreme in Formula 1 for quite some time. The Dutchman can become world champion in Formula 1 for the fourth season in a row this year. Last year he was defeated only three times, and this year he has started the season strongly again. The Red Bull Racing driver was defeated by Lando Norris last weekend in Miami, but Verstappen still drove a stable weekend.

Out of stock

Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali thinks it is nonsense that some people say that the sport is boring. The Italian thinks it’s nonsense and he explains this in ESPN SportsCenter: “I think there are very few people who find Formula 1 boring. Everywhere in the world the events are sold out and the numbers are growing. The fans must remain focused on our sport, because big things are happening. All the cars are very evenly matched and something can happen at any time, so I advise them to stay with us.”

Legend

Domenicali also thinks it is important that people remain respectful towards Max Verstappen. He himself has no problem with Verstappen’s domination: “Formula 1 has always experienced periods in which we had great drivers who won for years, one after the other, but this is not a factor that makes people drop out. If there are too many drivers who win , then you won’t be able to beat the legend. We have to respect that Max is the best driver so far. Maybe someone will come and take his place.”
