Blaricummer Flamingo plays his first matches at BFC Bussum as a pupil and has been part of the youth academy of Almere City FC since 2014. As a player for Jong Almere City FC, the defender will transfer to US Sassuolo on a rental basis at the beginning of 2021. The Italian club finally took over Flamingo from the Flevolanders about six months later.

In the Primavera 1, the highest youth competition in Italy, Flamingo plays 55 times and scores sixteen times. In the 2022/2023 season, the rearguard player will make his debut in professional football on behalf of Vitesse, which will then rent him from US Sassuolo. On behalf of the Arnhem team, Flamingo has 34 official parties, 33 of which are in the Eredivisie.

Flamingo is gaining even more experience at FC Utrecht this season; he currently has 32 official matches in red and white. As a player for FC Utrecht, the defender also makes his debut in the Dutch Juniors.

“Ryan has made a big impression since he came to our club and has developed exceptionally well in recent months,” says Technical Director Jordy Zuidam of FC Utrecht. “He has become a key player in Head Coach Ron Jans’ team. Everyone within the club was convinced that we should exercise the option that was included in his lease agreement with US Sassuolo.”
