PSV will again have striker Luuk de Jong in the away match against Fortuna Sittard on Sunday. He would like to become the top scorer in the Premier League and can count on a starting spot if he can get through the last training sessions well. De Jong dropped out of PSV last week, but trainer Peter Bosz confirmed that he trained again on Thursday and can normally play. The coach also addressed statements made by Noa Lang this week about PSV’s medical staff.
Lang reported on Instagram that in his opinion three wrong diagnoses have been made for his hamstring injury. That did not reflect well on the PSV doctors. Bosz: “I didn’t think that was wise and it wasn’t the right platform. But I do understand that he had to keep his mouth shut for a long time and that everyone is writing something in the meantime. That is not always easy. Even then, this is not the right stage to put this down.”
It does not appear that Lang will play for PSV again. He won’t be there on Sunday anyway and next week against RKC it remains to be seen whether he can be in the selection.

“He will first have to train with us with the group and that is not yet the case,” said Bosz, who does not have access to Isaac Babadi and Sergiño Dest. Babadi will be back early next season and Dest only after the winter break, but PSV has not bought him yet. The purchase option at FC Barcelona has not been exercised, although PSV remains interested.
Bosz wants to stay in the race with PSV for the Eredivisie record of 93 points over an entire season and therefore win in Sittard. According to him, the legs of the PSV players have already recovered from the festivities of the past week, which he also described. “It was unbelievable to see and difficult to highlight one thing. There was so much joy. That ride on the flat cart was also fantastic.”
