Sennheiser announces HD 620S closed-ear headphones | Tweakers

--

Audio brand Sennheiser has announced the HD 620S headphones. The closed earcups should reduce ambient noise and offer the user more privacy. The HD 620S will be available from June 6 and will cost 350 euros.

Sennheiser writes that the HD 620S has “the best features of the 600 series”, but with closed ear cups. Other headphones from the 600 series have an open earcup. A closed earcup offers better insulation from ambient noise and is also less likely to leak sound to the outside world. This makes the headphones more suitable for use in public spaces. Open ear cups generally provide a more spatial sound experience with a true-to-life sound reproduction.

Both the band and earcups of the HD 620S are reinforced with metal. Sennheiser also supplies a storage bag with the product. The headphones are equipped with 42 millimeter drivers and a 150 ohm aluminum voice coil. In addition, the headphones have a detachable cable that can also be used with other Sennheiser headphones. The HD 620S comes standard with a 1.8 meter long cable. The headphones will be available for purchase from June 6 and will cost 350 euros.
