Lommel SK has already had a great season. They will soon face Zulte Waregem twice to have another chance at promotion.
And at the club there was a player who made enormous strides this season. Zalan Vancsa really stood out. The Hungarian even played in every league match this season.
Lommel coach Steve Bould had told the young player a nice statistic about himself, Vancsa says. “From U-20 players who have played more than 1,500 minutes in the top 8 competitions, first or second division.”
“That’s where I have the most goal contributions of, as in goals, assists and important passes. For me that is a nice sign that I am doing well,” says Vancsa.
But the 19-year-old attacker also knows that the season is not over yet. “It gives me more confidence and motivation. Now it’s time for the play-offs, so I have to show even more.”
Coach Steve Bould also sees that Vancsa has already shown a lot of great things this season. “I’m very happy with it. Last year he played a few matches, this year he played almost every match.”
“I think he has 12 goals and five assists. I’m pretty sure he just told you that, because he also told me. He’s having a very good season,” the coach concludes.
