Fourteen residents of the municipality of Noordenveld received a royal decoration today. Below are the names with a description of their work.

Jacob Bezema, Member of Orange Nassau
Mr Bezema was co-founder of the Peize Historical Association in 1986. Since
he is a board member and chairman since 2008. He is also an editorial member of the association magazine
JOURNAL. Mr. Bezema has built up an enormous archive of photos and…
documents about the history of Peize and the surrounding area, the buildings and monuments. He is
actively involved in the annual Open Monument Day, organizes the Streektaolstried,
photo or film afternoons and evenings and lectures and gives interviews to newspapers and regional ones
TV. He reads in Drenthe at primary school and has contributed to several
books about the history of Peize.
Mr Bezema is also co-founder of the neighborhood association the Polmer Noabers, of which
he was chairman from 1995-2010. He has been very active from its founding to the present
in organizing and carrying out activities for young and old. He also played
for Easter Bunny and Sinterklaas, for children and also for the elderly.
In addition, Mr. Bezema has been active as an actor, stage manager and theater director for more than 25 years
set designer for the Paiser Vermaok theater association and since 2008 also as one of
the comedy duo “The Heuilaand Brothers”.
Mr. Bezema has also worked as an architectural draftsman and architect for many years
uses his knowledge of the buildings and cultural history of Peize to do justice to
the original authenticity and design of the building. By his expert
contribution and he has contributed to the fact that a lot of authenticity has been preserved in Peize.

Mary Irene Dijkstra-Lutam, Member of Orange Nassau
Mrs. Dijkstra has been active at De Marke primary school in Roden for more than 10 years since 2006
worked as a reading grandma and stay-over grandma, creativity counselor, school trip counselor and
co-organizer of activities around holidays.
She has also been very active for the Welfare Foundation in Noordenveld from 2016 to date
as coordinator of the Mensa (restaurant with world cuisine), the Potluck, the Vrolijke Noot
(moving to music for the elderly) and numerous activities for young and old – such as
Newruz/Kurdish New Year, Korendag, youth activities and the Neighborhood Camping.
During the corona period, Mrs. Dijksta was coordinator of Soep op de Stoep, where
lonely elderly people received a cup of soup every week.

Klaas Bruinsma, Member of Orange Nassau
Mr Bruinsma has been editor-coordinator of the association magazine Historical for more than 20 years
Ron. He conducts research, makes the planning and maintains contact with the publisher.
He was also treasurer and chairman of the CMV Oranje music association.
In 2007, Mr Bruinsma was also involved in the organization of the reunion
occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Christian primary school De Haven and editor
of the anniversary book that was made.
Finally, he has been active for Lijst Groen Noordenveld since 2010, previously as chairman and until now
currently as a member of the support faction.

Eltje Klazina Pier, Member of Orange Nassau
Mrs. Pier has been treasurer at De Zonnebloem Noordenveld department since 2011
In addition to the administration, she also takes care of the daily management of the volunteers.
She has also been treasurer and registration employee at the gymnastics club
Quick & Flexible and to this day she is involved in the Evening Four Days Reds Working Group.
Furthermore, Mrs. Pier has been treasurer and coffee lady at the Mixed Choir since 2013
Woudound Roden, cashier at Theater Cinema De Winsinghhof in Roden and
holds walk-in consultation hours twice a week at the Volunteer Information Point
Well-being in Noordenveld. The lady is also a volunteer at the annual two-day Roder
Book Fair.
After all, she has been an informal caregiver for many years, she is committed to National Clean-up Day and is…
she is a dog sitter.

Gerard Meijering, Member of Orange Nassau
Mr Meijering has been active as a volunteer in Norg for many years. He has been active for more than 20 years
involved in the Norg Interest Association and, as chairman, is the point of contact for among others
more quality of life and housing construction.
Furthermore, Mr Meijering is still actively involved in the theater association ADO, where he
among other things, writes the script for the new theater year.
In 2009 he ensured that Norg became the starting point of the Drentse Fietsvierdaagse,
of which he subsequently served as chairman for many years. Furthermore, he was the driving force behind it
the line dance club and for many years he co-organized the orange activities for the
Orange association.

Jantje Aaltje Hoven-Ensing, Member of Orange Nassau
Mrs. Hoven has been a very active volunteer in and for Langelo for many years. She already supplies more than 25
contributed to the monthly magazine Langelo Leeft for years, was involved in the transport of the
school children from Langelo to Westervelde with “the Bus”, board member at
playgroup and secretary and co-organizer of the six camp and the summer party. She
gives Klaverjas lessons to young people and organizes Klaverjas evenings.
She was also actively involved in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the
Association for Village Interests. Together with a fellow villager, she is “mayor” of
Langelo and she has been active for the Cooperative Glasvezel Noord.
Mrs. Hoven is co-initiator and coordinator of the monthly meetings
of the Ladies oet Langel. She served as coordinator of the working group “Langelo at the
front door” is also actively involved in the realization of a photo book of the residents of
Langelo. She also coordinates the AED group and arranges training for it.
Finally, Mrs. Hoven has been a committed canteen employee for over 20 years
football club GOMOS in Norg.

Johannes and Christine Betje Steijvers-Keijser, both members of Orange Nassau
Mr and Mrs Steijvers have guided the participants of the Bij care farm since 2006
Prins in their restaurant in the kitchen, service, cleaning and garden maintenance and
organized an annual bingo and barbecue for all 40 participants.
For many years they have given a free Christmas dinner in their restaurant during Christmas
for people with a limited budget. They have also organized benefit dinners
for Shower Power. Mrs. Steijvers has also organized collection campaigns on her own initiative for many years
held for Shower Power, the backpack and bag campaign and the AAP foundation, and afterwards
donate to municipal and national organizations.
Mr Steijvers has been a coach of the client council at Cosis in Assen. After his

to give people cheap yet tasty food.

Roelof Pastoor, Member of Orange Nassau
Mr. Pastoor has been involved as a board member of the Norgermarkt Concours Foundation since 2016.
which organizes three equestrian events every year, including a major national one
competition. As treasurer, Mr Pastoor is responsible for keeping track of the income
and expenses, sponsorship, contracts with suppliers, tent builders and catering industry and
for paying out prize money to participants.
Mr. Pastoor has been very active for the local community for more than 25 years
football club, Gomos, including as treasurer and canteen employee.
In addition, he has been very active for many years at the Feestvierdaagse Norg and as a volunteer
for the Justice Running Group. To date, he is treasurer at the Funeral Association
Honors the dead and volunteers at the Veenhuizen Prison Museum.

Richard and Susanne Ton-Krieger, both members of Orange Nassau
Mr and Mrs Ton jointly founded the Noordseveld Energy Cooperative in 2011
was founded, a cooperative of more than 270 members and a large group of volunteers.
The cooperative wants to make Noordenveld’s energy supply more sustainable through projects.
The cooperative is a source of information for energy savings and also has its own projects such as
the large HALO solar park at the gas storage facility in Langelo. Mr and Mrs Ton are together
involved in administrative work and represent the cooperative, among other things, at district councils
information meetings and municipal meetings.
Mr Ton is (has been) active within the cooperative as chairman,
volunteer coordinator, board member at the Drenthe umbrella organization of energy cooperatives, the Drenthe
Kei, as a thermal scanner and representative in the Energetic Neighborhoods project office.
Mrs. Ton takes care of the membership administration, membership recruitment, contacts with members and the
representing their interests, contact with Energie VanOns, and communication and
education.
Mr and Mrs Ton are also active in the Repair Café. They are involved in the
organization, communication and information and actively participate in the repairs of
for example, appliances and clothing. Mr Ton is described as the heart of Repair
Cafe. He maintains contacts with other organizations and takes care of local publicity
newspapers and periodically organizes outings for employees, for example to
manufacturers of energy saving products. Mrs. Ton also repairs clothes at home,
outside the regular Repair Cafés.
Furthermore, Mrs. Ton has been a volunteer at Humanitas Home Start and at
Refugee work.

Zwaantje Kamp-Wierenga, Member of Orange Nassau
Mrs Kamp has been active for the PKN (Protestant Church of the Netherlands) for over 20 years.
Roderwolde/Roden. Since 2003 she has been responsible for the layout of the Church News
involved in setting up the website and has been webmaster since 2005.
Furthermore, Mrs. Kamp has been active for many years in the women’s associations ‘Passage’ and
‘Connection’, including as secretary, treasurer, chairman, member of the liturgy group
and involved in the monthly magazine of Passage/Verbinding.
Mrs. Kamp was secretary of the PKN Roden Church News Foundation for 15 years.
Since 2011 she has been chairman of BeamTeam of the PKN Roden-Roderwolde.
