Mrs A. Hoddenbagh-Brasser Since today he is a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Mrs. Hoddenbagh-Brasser has been active in the ‘Meeting of Believers’ since 1958, in particular through the Children’s Work Foundation Het Evangeliewoord. Since the 1950s, she has been involved in Sunday school work in The Hague on behalf of the foundation. In addition, she started a children’s club for children in the city center of The Hague in the early 1980s and organized children’s camps in the late 1980s. Finally, she has been participating in the children’s Christmas party for years. She is described as a warm, loving and inspiring woman. Her commitment to children in the Hague region is an example to others.

Mrs NI Mirza-zade has become a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Mrs. Mirza-zade fled from Azerbaijan to the Netherlands in 2000. In 2006 she became a volunteer at Delft MaMa, an organization that helps expectant mothers from other countries to become familiar with Dutch institutions, facilities and also views and customs surrounding pregnancy and the period afterwards. She helped raise funds, provided information to pregnant women with a migration background and participated in social activities to prevent these women from becoming socially isolated. In 2009 she took the initiative to establish a group called ‘World Pearls’. About 35 women from different countries meet every week to work on their command of the Dutch language, expanding their knowledge of each other’s culture and expanding their network.

Mr W. van Dorp has been appointed Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Wim Van Dorp has been active as a volunteer at various organizations since 1990. He has been active for 33 years for Dorcas Aid International, a Christian organization for emergency aid and international cooperation. Since 2019, he has been mainly active in collecting clothing and relief supplies for Eastern Europe. To this day he has a clothing collection depot at home. He also coordinates the Dorcas Food Campaign every year. By participating in the Nijmegen Four Days Marches (this year for the 35th time), he raises sponsorship money for water projects and emergency aid projects. In addition to Dorcas, he has been a volunteer at the welfare organization Delft voor Elkaar for five years. He helps residents who need it by taking them from A to B with his own car. Finally, he is active as a volunteer for various churches. He is a deacon at the local church.

Mrs. S. Poeran-Bihariesingh Since today, he can also call himself a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Since 2003, Ms Poeran-Bihariesingh has been active in various organizations involved in the field of migration, the elderly and welfare. This started in 2003 with her commitment to the Association of Hindu Elderly Association in The Hague. From 2012 to 2016, she was then active at the Awaaz Foundation in the Segbroek district of The Hague, a foundation that focuses on Hindustani elderly people and combating loneliness. She subsequently became a board member of the Eekta Foundation, the urban and social cultural center for Hindustanis in The Hague. Since 2019, she has been a board member of the Arya Samaj Platform Netherlands Foundation (SASPN), a social organization that promotes different cultures in the Dutch community. She also visits the elderly in the nursing homes of WZH and Florence. She has done play activities and reading aloud for demented elderly people in these nursing homes for years.

Mr WAH van Veldhoven has become a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Since his early retirement in 2003, Mr van Veldhoven has been committed to cooking for the elderly and children. He gained experience with cooking during his working life, when he worked as a chef at various healthcare institutions. For twenty years, he has been serving a three-course dinner to a group of 40 to 50 elderly people from the H. Boniface Church in Rijswijk twice a month. In addition to cooking for his fellow man, he has been teaching cooking lessons at the Octant Child Center Regenboog in Nootdorp for twenty years. Once a month, the children cook a three-course meal there for their parents under the guidance of the chefs from cooking club ‘t Kokkeltje. Apart from his commitment to the H. Boniface Church and the children of Octant Child Center Regenboog in Nootdorp, he also likes to provide a snack and a drink to neighborhood activities, for example around Christmas.

Mr J. Bolte was appointed Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Jos Bolte has been committed to Rijswijk municipal politics and public administration for twenty years. In 1998 he took a seat on the municipal council for the PvdA and in 2002 he became alderman for the portfolios of Education, Art and Culture and Social Affairs (social domain). After his aldermanship, he sat on the council again until his retirement in 2018. He has been committed to many issues in the social field, from the implementation of the Social Support Act to municipalities to the establishment of collective health insurance for minimum wage earners. . He was a passionate advocate for the cultural organizations in Rijswijk. As an alderman he was very important for the survival of the Rijswijkse Schouwburg. He has also made efforts for other cultural institutions in Rijswijk, such as Trias Center for the Arts, Museum Rijswijk and Arti-Shock gallery. He also made the construction of the first Community School in Rijswijk possible. In addition to his commitment to the municipal council, he also has an active volunteer life. Since its founding in 1971, he has been active for the Lokomotief basketball club, in the past as a board member and youth trainer. He was also co-author of the book “50 years of Lokomotivation”, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the basketball club. In 2015 he became a member of the Open Monument Day working group and from 2016 to 2019 he was chairman of this working group.

Mr. FJ Werter Since today, he can call himself a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau. Mr Werter has been active in the field of development aid in Pakistan and the surrounding area since 1989, but also in the field of social cohesion. From 1989 to 1995 he worked in Pakistan from the Dutch Embassy for the Social Forestry Project in the Malakand district. He and others have developed and implemented training programs aimed at smallholder participation in the forestry sector in Northern Pakistan. He has also conducted research for the World Bank in the field of forestry management projects and since 2020 he has been committed to the largest tree planting project in the world in Pakistan. Since 1997, he has been working unpaid for education and equality for women and girls in Pakistan. After the huge earthquake in this area in 2005, he raised money in the Netherlands to have schools built again with Unicef ​​and other partners. In 2019, he founded the De Pastinaak foundation to support education and talent development for vulnerable and underprivileged young people in Pakistan. In addition to his various paid and unpaid positions, he is also very active as a volunteer. For example, he was a volunteer at the Rijswijk Hockey Club for 17 years, including as a coach. In addition, he has been active for 18 years at the Military Indies Monument Leiden Foundation, a volunteer task that he took over from his (deceased) father, who was one of the founders of the Foundation and an Indies veteran. He is also chairman of Kunst ter Plekke. In this capacity he is closely involved in this biennial event in the Leeuwendaal district. Finally, he is treasurer of the Narada Foundation. The aim of this foundation is to create a connection between Eastern and Western Europe. He plays an important role in the plans for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
