Link2Europe has just won the Voka Lokaal award for the Klein-Brabant/Vaartland region. This award gives them a chance to win the ‘Voka Prize for Entrepreneurship 2024’ in September. Link2Europe, located in Bornem, is a pioneer in filling bottleneck vacancies. “We help Belgian companies. But we recruit almost exclusively outside Belgium,” says founder Igor Van Assche.

The entire month of May is dedicated to the Entrepreneurship Prize at Voka Mechelen-Kempen. 2 contenders are announced every week. The third nominee is Link2Europe from Bornem.

They are experts in the ‘war for talent’. The services company recruits around 800 foreign workers every year on behalf of customers. “We have built up an extensive network of partners within and outside Europe. We are also responsible for the integration of these candidates into society. We provide housing and arrange all administrative obligations to be able to work and live correctly in our country,” says founder Igor Van Assche

CEO Natascha Nagels emphasizes the relevance of their work in the current labor market. “We are very current. Almost every day we hear about the talent shortage and how we should tackle the aging population. A combination of measures will be necessary, but international migration will also be part of the solution to find the right competencies or numbers. We only recruit people outside Belgium or people who have ended up in the gray zone here. The network we have within and outside Europe is really very large. We are literally on every continent. These partners help us detect talent on site. We manage the rest of the process completely in-house. It is our team in Belgium that carries out the in-depth screening, makes the match and introduces the candidate to a specific company.”

Link2Europe received the Voka Lokaal award Klein-Brabant/Vaartland from Evert Delanoye, chairman of the Voka Lokaal department. “They offer the complete package. With a full support of foreign workers and complete support for the companies. A deserved winner.”

From June 1, everyone can vote for their favorite company on the Voka website. This way, everyone can give the company in their region a boost towards the finals. A professional jury will make the final decision. On September 26 we will know who the big winner of the 2024 Entrepreneurship Prize will be.
