From Sunday May 26 you can watch double episodes of the fourth season on Canvas The Handmaid’s Tale. The drama is an adaptation of the book of the same name by author Margaret Atwood and is set in the dystopian Gilead, where the last fertile women have to work as handmaids and are forced to have children for the ruling elite. In the season four premiere, injured June (Elisabeth Moss) and the remaining fugitive handmaidens find shelter in a farmhouse, where they receive help from 14-year-old Esther (McKenna Grace from Ghostbusters: Fallen Empire). In Gilead, Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) tries to escape the death penalty, while the Waterfords (Joseph Fiennes and Yvonne Strahovski) are trapped in Toronto and discover the fate of June. The Handmaid’s Tale also received a fifth season in 2022 and is currently working on a sixth and final season that will appear on television in 2025.
