Aïcha (21), Bibi (20), Melanie (20) and Quincy (21) leave for Hawaii for the adventure of a lifetime.

Rats running through your bedroom, children who don’t listen and tensions in a host family. These are some of the many challenges that await four au pairs in the sixth season of the BNNVARA program ‘Au Pairs’. Aïcha, Bibi, Melanie and Quincy leave for the other side of the world and live for three months with a host family in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. And that is anything but a holiday, because the au pairs face a lot: unclean houses, different opinions about upbringing and confrontations with their own fears or past. Will the au pairs manage to care for the children and stand on their own two feet for the first time? One thing is certain: this experience will change their lives forever. The new season of ‘Au Pairs’ is from 21st of May every Tuesday at 8:30 PM can be seen at BNNVARA on NPO 3.

In the first episode, Melanie, Quincy and Bibi leave for Hawaii. Bibi is immediately put to the test when she arrives at her Hawaiian host family. Melanie doesn’t shy away from a challenge. The four young kids are not the problem, but the parents. Quincy feels a slight panic when she discovers that in addition to two little ones, she also has to deal with two teenagers. And then there is Aïcha, who flies alone to Hawaii a day later. She is very attached to her boyfriend Tom, with whom she has had a relationship for years and whom she cannot miss a day. Still, they have to say goodbye to each other at the airport for the time being.
