Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is feeling “very good” after hernia surgery on Sunday evening. His office said this. The Prime Minister may leave the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

Netanyahu’s office previously reported that the intervention had been “successful”. Now the office reports that the recovery is also going well.

The Israeli Prime Minister underwent general anesthesia on Sunday for a hernia operation. The hernia was discovered on Saturday evening during a routine check-up. Netanyahu’s office already reported that the prime minister’s condition was not serious. Nevertheless, it was decided in consultation with doctors that he would be admitted to hospital on Sunday.

Before the hospital operation, Netanyahu made time for a meeting with his war cabinet. He also said he will be back to work very soon. “I assure you that I will successfully pass this treatment and be back in action very soon.” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Yariv Lening replaced him in the meantime.
