On Saturday around 6 p.m., officers near the Boekenbergpark in Deurne-Zuid saw a man with an electric scooter who was driving around in the area. The police were on site anonymously to monitor the area because there was regular nuisance from drug use and sales.
Big shopper
After a few phone calls, the man rang the bell at an apartment complex on Boekenberglei, where a boy opened the door and handed him a big shopper bag, after which the stepper left again. Because officers suspected that a drug deal had taken place, they wanted to check the man on the scooter. However, he dropped his scooter and big shopper and started running. He tried to throw his mobile phone on the roof of a house. When that failed, he tried to kick his device to pieces, according to police.
