Bitcoin rises slightly, price very volatile

Bitcoin (BTC) rose slightly today, but has a very volatile price trend. Last night the price briefly reached $65,000, but has now fallen below $64,000. Nevertheless, the value of a bitcoin is higher than yesterday, but this does not seem to happen without a fight.

  • At the time of writing, the total crypto market cap is $2.476 trillion, which is 0.5% lower than 24 hours ago.
  • Currently the price of bitcoin is €59,500 on the Dutch crypto exchange Bitvavo. The average price of bitcoin on all major exchanges is $63,900.
  • Bitcoin now controls 50.8% of the market. This percentage is virtually the same as yesterday.
  • $82 billion worth of crypto was traded last day, which is 19% less than yesterday.

The fastest crypto climbers, including Safe (SAFE)

Bitcoin’s price movements keep the market in its grip. Yet there are several altcoins from the top 100 that have risen rapidly. The biggest top 100 risers are safe (SAFE), neo (NEO) and litecoin (LTC). They performed as follows over the past 24 hours:

  • Safe (SAFE), up 16.3% in the last 24 hours;
  • Neo (NEO), up 6.3% in the last 24 hours;
  • Litecoin (LTC), up 5.4% in the past 24 hours;
  • BitTorrent (BTT), up 5.2% in the past 24 hours;
  • Ethereum Classic (ETC), up 4.0% in the last 24 hours.

The hardest crypto decliners, including hedera (HBAR)

Although bitcoin has risen slightly, there are several cryptocurrencies which have fallen. This includes hedera (HBAR), bit tensor (TAO) and pepe (PEPE). The drops from the top 100 are as follows:

  • Hedera (HBAR), down 7.3% in the past 24 hours;
  • Bittensor (TAO), down 4.1% in the past 24 hours;
  • Pepe (PEPE), down 4.0% in the last 24 hours;
  • SingularityNET (AGIX), down 3.8% in the past 24 hours;
  • Floki (FLOKI), down 3.7% in the last 24 hours.
