A28 keeps lasting memories of corona resistance, removal too expensive

--

A number of slogans were painted on the noise wall along the A28 near Zwolle in 2022 against the corona measures in force at the time. The most striking text is “QR goes too far”. (That’s what he did, ed.) At the offices of RTV Oost, people wondered when these would be removed and they decided to call Rijkswaterstaat. They turned out to be the first, because according to a spokesperson there are to date “no complaints received“.

It turns out: unlike the inverted flags on the highway, the slogans are not removed. “Removing graffiti, because that is what we are actually talking about, is a costly affair. The road has to be closed, a contractor has to be hired and then the cleaning itself. In short, a lot of hassle. And then we have not even about the inconvenience to traffic.”

So long lasting. Therefore, this is a call to the offices of RTV Oost and all others who take offense to these slogans:

Let the ride on the A28 near Zwolle be a moment of reflection from now on. Reflection on a period in which almost no one showed their best side. Where people went completely crazy, but where the media and authorities also managed to alienate a non-brain-dead part of the population so much that dance teachers with dreadlocks could emerge as true people’s people.

Or we will now call Rijkswaterstaat, foaming at the mouth, to complain. You can also find out for yourself.
