Bruce Springsteen signed an absence note for one of his young fans during a concert in San Francisco. Images of this can be seen on social media.
The young fan stood at the front of the crowd with a piece of cardboard that said, “Out of school, will you sign my note?” Springsteen’s concert was on Sunday. With his note, the young fan asked permission not to have to go to school on Monday.
Springsteen signed his fan’s absence note with a smile. After returning the note, he also gave an air kiss. The audience then gave loud applause. It is not clear whether the school the young fan attends accepted the note signed by Springsteen.
It is not the first time that Springsteen has received such a request. In 2016, he also signed an absence note for someone during a meet-and-greet in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
