Martien Meiland has let his good friend Getty Kaspers fall hard. In an interview with the weekly magazine Story, she lashes out. “I’m not important enough to him anymore.”
When the Meilandjes lived in Hengelo, Martien contacted Getty Kaspers. In Chateau Meiland at the time it could be seen that Martien and Getty were building a friendship. Getty had expected that she would receive an invitation to the program Chateau Meiland VIPSbut that invitation was not forthcoming.
‘No longer interesting’
“I don’t think I’m important enough for Martien anymore,” says Getty in the weekly magazine Story. “He has now invited all kinds of people who are a bit up to date and can talk about scandals. I’m not interesting anymore.”
‘Gordon more important’
There is nothing left of the close friendship. “When Martien and his family left the Achterhoek, they visited us to say goodbye. But our contact has died down a bit. I think Gordon is more important…”
Getty now no longer contacts Martien. “I don’t run after anything anymore,” she says. “If people want something from me, they have to come themselves.”
