RTL will start a new series of the program from Sunday April 21 Dear viewers by Ruben Nicolai. The program will replace Matthijs van Nieuwkerk’s previously announced new talk show every week.
A spokesperson for RTL had a message about this on Monday in Tina Nijkamp’s podcast. In the panel show Dear viewers Nicolai analyzes TV fragments from the past week with a number of celebrities.
Van Nieuwkerk came under fire in 2023 after a publication in de Volkskrant about a culture of fear in the program’s editorial staff DWDD that he made for fifteen years.
Despite this, RTL announced at the end of 2023 that it would enter into a four-year partnership with Van Nieuwkerk. According to RTL, the report by the Van Rijn committee, which investigated misconduct in Hilversum, took too long.
But when the committee’s conclusions turned out to be harsh, RTL decided to postpone Van Nieuwkerk’s announced talk show indefinitely.
