Radar Online spoke to a ‘royal insider’ who is said to be well aware of the current situation.
“He is of course determined to beat the cancer and everything is being done to make him better,” he says. “Everyone is very optimistic, but he feels really bad. Worse than they let on.”
Other sources close to the royal family say King Charles’ funeral plans – dubbed ‘Operation Menai Bridge’ – have recently been dusted off and are being actively monitored and adjusted.
“That is very normal given his cancer diagnosis,” a source said.
In fact, after Queen Elizabeth’s death in 2022, planning for his funeral would have already started. “They are looking at every aspect of Menai Bridge,” said another source who has worked for the royal family. “Queen Elizabeth’s funeral went smoothly, so the bar is high. It’s not an emotional thing either, it’s just work.”
