Will Koopman has won the Media Oeuvre Award 2024. Presenter Lex Uiting has the 67-year-old Eyeballs-director on Wednesday’s broadcast RTL Boulevard surprised with the price.
The jury of the award consists of: A.Dcolumnist Angela de Jong and Speaking tubepublisher Richard Otto.
“For a long time, director Will Koopman’s name was always mentioned after that of Linda de Mol when it came to the ratings. Gooische Vrouwen, Divorce and Kruys family“, reads the jury report. “But since the success of the fantastic Eyeballs no one needs that extra introduction anymore.”
“Her name alone is enough to get the audience excited for yet another new drama series or film. There is no other director who has left such a mark on the television drama genre in recent decades as she has,” the jury adds.
The Media Oeuvre Award is an award from the professional platform Speaking tube and is awarded annually to someone from the media world who has had a major influence on the Dutch media landscape. Previous winners were Jan Slagter and André van Duin.
