What is Lutje Lokaal?
For people who are not from Groningen, lutje means small. And Lutje Lokaal was founded in 2019, as a platform for local entrepreneurs. With Lutje Lokaal, just like the American ‘Small Business Saturday’, they create a counterpoint to the immense purchasing violence on Black Friday. On this day, these Groningen entrepreneurs can thank their customers for their support.
It started with one event a year, but nowadays Lutje Lokaal is committed to local entrepreneurs all year round.
