Traffic and transport

ZEIST Since August 2018, volunteers affiliated with the Friends of the Binnenbos Foundation have provided transport for people, often elderly, who have difficulty walking and live in the Kerckebosch and Hoge Dennen districts. They do this with a ‘Golden Carriage’. That electric means of transport needed to be replaced. On Tuesday, April 2, Alderman Hoogstraten will unveil the successor.

The Golden Carriage makes free short rides to and from the Binnenbos for the Golden Coffee on Tuesday morning, but also to other destinations in the above-mentioned neighborhoods or to, for example, Slotlaan, the market or the cemetery. This promotes the well-being of the users of the Golden Carriage and prevents loneliness. A very important goal for the Foundation.

The Golden Carriage needed to be replaced and this was made possible thanks to an important subsidy from the Municipality of Zeist. Tuesday, April 2 at 9:30 am, Alderman Hoogstraten will unveil the new Golden Carriage in the Binnenbos.

RIDE ALONG?

After this opening, the Golden Carriage will make an introductory tour in the Kerckebosch and Hoge Dennen districts in the coming weeks. Would you like to join us for a ride? To request a ride, call 06 14 32 08 72.
