The month of Ramadan is the month of fasting. This month is also all about generosity and connection. Last Wednesday, March 27, the Stichting Krachtvrouwen Zeist Foundation was given the honor of providing an Iftar for more than 80 families from the @Ronald McDonald’s House Utrecht and the @Prinses Máxima Center for pediatric oncology.
The volunteers had wonderful and open conversations with a number of families. And the stories were so moving, but also especially inspiring. The patience (sabr/صبر) and strength (quwah/قوَّة) that these families have is unprecedented. Despite this, the families have shown their great gratitude for the iftar. It’s nice that Krachtvrouwen was able to provide them with pleasant conversations and delicious food for this one evening. And what a feast it was
