Four Zeeland all-around titles for gymnasts Delta Sport – World news from your region

The Delta Sport gymnasts Suzie Zondervan, Marika Padmos, Nienke Grauss and Sofie Kouwenberg became Zeeland all-around champions in Vlissingen.

Zondervan (third division pupil 3) performed a beautiful all-around event in the Baskenburg between various top athletes. With 53,000 points she won by more than a point from Joëlle Maas from Wateringen. Kouwenberg did very well in the third youth division on floor (third), bars and vault (both first). The third Zeeland title goes to Zierikzeese Grauss (third division junior D). Grauss was quickly rewarded by the jury with a good floor and bars exercise. She came second on beam and vault, but the apparatus points added up to an all-around event resulted in two gold medals and then another four medals on the apparatus. In the same category, Lisa Uiterwijk came fourth with a bronze medal in the parallel bars exercise.
The fourth and most notable championship was taken by Marika Padmos (second division seniors). Almost five years ago, De Brouwse (photo) was last on the competition floor. The 28-year-old gymnast performed a surprising all-around event that raised eyebrows at the award ceremony for the Zeeland title.
The Easter weekend was certainly successful for Delta Sport gymnasts in Vlissingen. A total of 115 medals were won by 65 participating Delta Sport gymnasts.
