On Saturday afternoon, April 13, the Amersfoorts Kamerkoor will join us for a beautiful Saturday afternoon hour entitled “That’s always the living air”. As varied as the Dutch skies are, the concert program is just as varied, in which nature plays the leading role. Nature is versatile: there is plenty to see and hear. We are part of nature, experience it with all our senses. The four seasons each have their own scents and colors and the trees, flowers and animals move with the changing temperatures. Many poets draw inspiration from nature to put their feelings into words. The poem Lamento by Remco Campert, from which the title of the concert is taken, is a good example of this. With their music, like vibrating air at various pitches, composers create a bridge between the poets’ texts and nature itself. Let twelve different composers from mainly the 20th century, such as Hindemith, Britten, Oltra and Schroyens, take you into nature.
