Have we finally been rid of those annoying door-to-door salespeople?

“We are certainly a lot more efficient. More and more charities are stopping this because it does not work, costs a lot of money and is sometimes harmful to their image. And yes, maybe we are also less annoying.”

How does your platform work?

“We focus on the younger generation who are very involved and want to support good causes, but at the same time do not want to put too much effort into calling everywhere. You can select the charities you want to support via our site. You then indicate the amount you want to donate for each charity, one-off or monthly. You can adjust everything in your personal overview at any time: increase or decrease your amount, add or remove charities, temporarily pause donations. All the barriers, the administrative hassle, having to call to cancel, have disappeared. It’s all done with just a few clicks.”

It also seems to me to cause stress of choice.

“There are 650 recognized charities in the Netherlands. That is why we also have a Donation Guide, a kind of Voting Guide, with which you can discover which goals suit you best.”

And the charities themselves, they are also happy with it?

“It was even created in collaboration with a number of charities, including KWF, Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. They were already working on something similar, but could not implement it. The idea came to me because I already supported a number of charities, but became very frustrated when I wanted to switch and that turned out to be very cumbersome. I thought: this could be different.”
