Christian Netherlands, accept that lies and distortions from secular media are part of it

Today we posted an article about the care farm ‘United Souls’ by Monique from Wekerom. After a huge media storm, all her work has come to a standstill and there are even questions from D66 in the House of Representatives, because she allegedly took children to liberation services of Frontrunners, among others. After delving into email exchanges and making inquiries, it now appears: the story is not correct, there is no hard evidence whatsoever.

We recently posted an article about an AD article that was quite confusing in terms of content, last year the same AD even wrote an almost activist article about Rotterdam Ahoy and why they opened their door ‘religious programming’. The list is many times longer.

What is also striking, however, is the enormous shock reaction in Christian Netherlands after these media storms. For example, we received an urgent request from a Christian secondary school to remove an article with testimonies of students who had been healed during the day’s opening. A story that they were enthusiastic about, but which is now under enormous pressure internally and externally. There are stories of churches no longer making their buildings available to certain ministries, after the media storm surrounding ‘United Souls’. In retrospect, the service had nothing to do with it. I notice this reaction in several articles.

As churches and ministries, let us use all the wisdom of God to deal with this well, but above all let us not be frenetic. Realize where this comes from. God is really doing something new in the Netherlands, so many young people are coming to faith and many churches and ministries are really emerging. This new movement is radical. Therefore, no matter how well we try to do it, it will never become acceptable to the world. Even if there is nothing to criticize, things can still be distorted. Christian Netherlands: accept that!

It is not without reason that several pastors and prophets spoke at the beginning of this year about waves of criticism from the media. The attack is aimed at the new movement of God in the Netherlands. Let us bear this opposition with honor, for no one can stop the work of God! Ultimately, everyone, including all journalists, will have to bow before King Jesus.
