35-year-old Merel Scheepbouwer, who disappeared without a trace in Utrecht during King’s Day, was found ‘in a very critical condition’ in Assen. A spokesperson for the Central Netherlands police reported this on Sunday.

The young woman was last seen on King’s Day on the Lange Viestraat in Utrecht. A missing person at the busiest point on the busiest day of the year.

Around 12 o’clock she was still at the Bijenkorf. Her family had reported Merel missing. The woman from Utrecht left ‘in a worrying condition’. The spokesperson cannot indicate how she ended up in Assen.

The police previously asked everyone to look out for her.
