Open Farm Days 2024 in the Netherlands

Discover where dairy comes from on May 10 and 20, 2024. The 17th edition of the Campina Open Farm Days will take place on Friday 10 and Monday 20 May 2024. On these days, 70 dairy farms throughout the Netherlands will open their yards to the public. Young and old can experience farm life up close during fun and educational activities on and around the farm.

Campina dairy farmers in the province of North Holland also show where dairy comes from and how they contribute to ‘a better tomorrow’: a better morning through a good start to the day with a good and tasty breakfast, and a better future for the subsequent generations. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

There is plenty to do and learn for visitors on the Open Farm Days. Visitors can bowl a milk carton, make a puzzle with solar panels and compete against each other in a ‘galaxy race’. Enthusiasts can also have their faces painted or participate in a (blind) tasting in the dairy bar. Upon arrival at the farm, children receive a Campina Activity Book full of fun facts and games and explanations about the Open Farm Days and all activities.

For a better tomorrow. During the Open Farm Days, farmers show where dairy products come from. Campina products – such as yoghurt, milk and cottage cheese – form the basis of a good and tasty breakfast that ensures a good start to the day. In addition, dairy farmers demonstrate what they do in the field of sustainability through playful and educational activities. Many Campina farmers are also energy farmers: they generate green energy with wind turbines, solar panels and manure digesters. This green farm electricity is used for the production of all Dutch Campina products.

Participating farms. The participating farms are open on Friday, May 10 (the day after Ascension Day) or Monday, May 20, 2024 (Whit Monday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., admission is free. The participating farms in North Holland:
