This costs the cheapest Alfa Romeo, the Junior, in the Netherlands

--

On April 10, Alfa Romeo pulled the curtains on the new cheapest car in the model range. In addition to a new name, the model has now also received a price tag. Autovisie dives into the configurator and looks at what the Alfa Romeo Junior costs.

The Junior is on Stellantis’ well-known CMP platform, which is used by the Fiat 600e and Jeep Avenger, among others. In such a large company it is difficult to distinguish yourself. According to CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato, the Italians do this through design and driving characteristics (chassis tuning).

Prize Netherlands Alfa Romeo Junior

Only time will tell whether the Junior really drives like an Alfa Romeo. In terms of price, the cheapest Alfa clearly positions itself slightly above the competition. The electric variant costs at least 39,000 euros.

For this money you get a 156 hp electric motor on the front axle that is linked to a 54 kWh battery pack. This will take you 410 kilometers according to the WLTP measuring method. Charging the cheapest electric Alfa Romeo is possible with 11 kW at the public charging station and 100 kW at the fast charger.

There will also be a version with a 240 hp electric motor on the front axle and a 136 hp hybrid. Prices for those versions are not yet known.

Competition

For 39,000 euros you can also shop at the Italian brand’s competitors. The cheapest electric Alfa Romeo Junior is more expensive than the electric Jeep Avenger (from 38,500 euros) and Fiat 600e (from 35,990 euros).
