Nikkie de Jager hands out the Eurovision Song Contest points on behalf of the Netherlands

At the Eurovision songfestival of course not only includes a good act, but also someone who hands out the points on behalf of the Netherlands. This year they managed to get Nikkie de Jager for that.

She does this live from Leeuwarden, the birthplace of our entry Joost Klein.

Nikkie thinks it is a huge honor to be able to announce the Dutch jury points during the big one this year Eurovision Song Contest-final. “After a dream came true when I was allowed to present the festival, there was always one small wish left: the points! Now I can finally say those famous words.” She is referring to the well-known phrase ‘Our twelve points go to…’ that each country traditionally says before handing out the points.

The points are awarded from the square at the Oldehoven tower in Leeuwarden, where Frisian fans watch the song festival together to cheer on ‘their’ Joost.
