DORDRECHT – Hof van Nederland launches on Sunday, May 5 COURT on Sunday. HOF on Sunday is a monthly day full of surprising activities on which Dordrecht residents can visit the museum at a reduced price. Each day has its own theme that reflects what the museum stands for: freedom, past and present. Of COURT on Sunday, the Court is launching a concept that gives people of all ages the opportunity to become acquainted with the history and meaning of freedom in the Netherlands in an accessible way. On Liberation Day, Sunday May 5, is the first Court on Sunday. On this day, children can roll up their sleeves at the T-shirt design workshop with freedom as a theme. They think about a short, powerful message and then translate it into a T-shirt design. When they are creative, parents/guardians can listen and participate during the HOF Live Talk in the Vrijplaats, with interesting speakers. A live podcast is also recorded there by R-newt. The museum offers an interactive tour in which visitors discuss freedom. Of course, the regular elements from the museum can also be experienced: the escape tour, the ball pit, the Free Spirits audio tours and the Children’s Tour Free Griffin. And good news: Admission for children under 18 is always free. There is a reduced entrance fee of 2 euros (instead of the regular price of 14) for adults.

From 1.30 pm there will also be a freedom party at Vegan Music Café Rebel Rebel at the Houttuinen. Enjoy live music from both local and international artists. The young local band Off the Floor kicks off and brings funky tunes inspired by bands such as Scary Pockets and Vulfpeck. International sensation Joel Sarakula will take over the stage at 4 p.m. With his soulful 70s pop music, Joel Sarakula has previously enchanted the audience in Dordrecht. Let yourself be carried away by its timeless sounds and celebrate freedom in style. The performances are accompanied by the DJs of the Rebel Vinyl Club.
