Do you want to help entrepreneurs do business abroad responsibly? And are you looking for a fun and challenging job from August/September 2024? An internship in which on the one hand you point out possible problems to companies in the supply chain, but in which you also write about solutions? Then you might be the new intern for the CSR Risk Checker at MVO Nederland.

Especially now that more and more legislation is coming, companies are faced with a lot of pressure. It is therefore important that companies can prepare well. MVO Nederland has developed the CSR Risk Checker for this purpose, a website on which you get a free overview of important CSR risks and advice for your product and the country in which you operate. Is there child labor involved? What is your influence on the availability of drinking water in the vicinity of a production location? Are there conflicts? As an intern, one of your most important tasks is to provide insight into CSR risks for companies as a basis for making their international trade chains more sustainable. What are you going to do?

As an intern for the CSR Risk Checker, you are part of a fun project team that deals with the themes of transparent chains and real prices. During your internship you will devote yourself to making international trade chains more sustainable. You maintain the CSR Risk Checker and update the data. And that is important, given the almost 50,000 unique visitors per year and more than 6,000 risks and advice in three different languages. A large amount of information, where we could really use your help.

Below are your most important activities:

  • you conduct source research into possible risks per country and product and any associated advice;
  • you check reports from research organizations, NGOs and news websites, so that risks and advice always remain up to date;
  • you write texts for entrepreneurs in English and Dutch;
  • you communicate about the tool via social media, blogs and other means of communication;
  • you give presentations about the tool to internal and external stakeholders;
  • you actively engage with users of the tool to hear what can be improved and work on a user satisfaction survey;
  • but you also think about improvements yourself;
  • and helps with other activities within the team.
